The Thai Aseel breed of chicken is renowned for its great endurance, pugnacity, and fighting ability. It is also referred to as Thai Asil or Thai Game. This breed was developed in Thailand and is frequently employed in cockfighting. The most often used Aseel varieties are the light red Reza, brown Teekar, black and white silver Chitta, black Kagar, and golden-red Peela.Â
When compared to the Asil breed, the Thai Aseel breed boasts a greater variety of colors, including oranges, tans, blacks, and duns. Additionally, some types of Thai Aseel are known for their neck-locking abilities. The breed is characterized by strong, straight legs, a small tail, a long neck, and compact eyes. The standard weight of this breed is 4-5 kg, hens are 3-4 kg, cockerels are 3.5-4.5 kg, and pullets are 2.5-3.5 kg.
